Walk (or run) with me as I share our story.

It’s hard to say good-bye! February 15, 2012

After touring the Beith Dairy Farm we drove back into Methven… and the atmosphere changed from happy to reflective on our bus. We were saying “good-bye” to our host from Farm to Farm Tours, James Dixon. James has shared his love of his country, his love of agriculture and his vast knowledge of both with us from the beginning of our trip. We will be missing him in the next days as we continue our tour of the South Island without him. We will be picking up Kiwi’s from the South Island to step in and tour with us, but saying goodbye to James is hard for all of us. He’s become part of our little “family”.

While at the dairy James very nicely agreed to a picture of he with Bella… we appreciate that James! And we know our granddaughters will as well.

Someday we hope James will make it here to the US and come visit our farm, so we can repay, even in the slightest ways, our appreciation of all he gave to us. Thank you James for putting up with our dry wit, our endless questions (I was one of the worst!), and for being so very helpful in every aspect of our tour.

Best wishes to you James as you continue your career path with Farm to Farm Tours… and don’t forget… there’s a dairy in So. California waiting for you to come visit us!
